Morse Lady Tigers lost against Del Lago Academy Firebirds, 0-2, on their fourth varsity soccer game that took place in Morse last Dec. 11, 2018.
“The girls worked hard all game,” said Coach Marcus Jones. “We just were not able to finish since we missed opportunities to score. We have to find a finish.”
The team prepares for their games by practicing for two hours every day. During practice, they work on their positioning and enhance their passing skills. Before their games begin, they usually do drills on passing and finishing shots.
“We did decent on the game,” said junior Hana Koiv, keeper and forward. “However, I believe that we could have done a lot better if we communicated more and worked more as a team.”
In order to do better on the upcoming home game against Serra High School on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018, they will have to work together and practice more on finishing.
“We will work more on communicating with each other, our positioning on the field, and a few passing drills for our next games,” said Koiv.
